Meet Heather
Hi, I’m Heather! I’m here to offer a safe and welcoming space for children, teens, and young adults to explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment. My goal is to help you or your child navigate life’s challenges, gain clarity, and discover tools to build a brighter future.
I specialize in supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, grief, guilt, shame, trauma, and relationship issues. Whether it’s managing overwhelming emotions, building self-confidence, or improving communication, I’m passionate about helping young people and families find their strength and resilience.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I’ll be actively engaged in our sessions, providing honest feedback and working together to create meaningful progress. While therapy can delve into some heavy topics, I believe there’s always room for moments of lightness and even laughter along the way.
If you or your child are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for a positive change, I’d be honored to support you on this journey. Let’s talk!

I like to bring together a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care in my practice. This combination helps me create a warm and supportive environment where I can meet each client's unique needs. By using these approaches together, I aim to empower individuals in their healing and personal growth, ensuring they feel understood and valued at every step.

In your initial session, we'll focus on understanding what brings you to therapy and identifying your goals. This conversation helps establish a foundation for our work together.
The beginning of therapy will be a lot of information gathering during the first and possibly second session to help us determine the direction of your treatment plan. My goal is to provide a welcoming and inclusive space, where you feel safe and comfortable to share about your experiences. I will facilitate and guide our sessions while taking your input, preferences, strengths, and goals into account.
It's common to feel a range of emotions during your first session, and it's okay to share at your own pace. Remember, therapy is a collaborative process aimed at supporting you throughout your journey.

Therapy sessions are typically scheduled once a week, especially when we are beginning our work together. Weekly sessions provide consistency and allow us to build momentum toward your goals.
As we progress, we may adjust the frequency of sessions based on your needs, preferences, and the goals we’re working on. Some clients prefer to meet biweekly or monthly as they gain confidence and feel more equipped to navigate challenges on their own.
We’ll regularly discuss what works best for you to ensure therapy is tailored to your unique situation and pace.

Both! Sessions can be scheduled in my office, or we can meet virtually.
